Important Interview Lesson #1: Potential employers like it when you ask them questions.

In other news, why on earth is this question always asked? What do they expect from me? Or any of us?

If any of you would like a backstage peek at the Hotline, here are my attempts at figuring out how to draw Interview Comics.

So you can see I tried to make it work, showing the interviewer as well. You will be pleased to note I opted for the only one that didn't make me look like a baby in a high chair.

I didn't see any specific time frame when I looked this stuff up online

WELL WHAT HAVE WE HERE! At least it wasn't 11 months this time!

Remember back in December, when I said the Hotline was back for good? I would like to stand by that statement! Unfortunately the last few months were quite a roller coaster. I lost both my maternal grandparents within two weeks of each other, which meant three 10-hour one-way car trips all crammed in the month of February (a very short month!), then I got a job, then I went on a cruise, then I got another (additional!) job, somewhere in there I had to get an MRI to see if I needed brain surgery (spoiler alert: I don't!), and, well, here we are, things have settled down and I am back to poorly drawing the most attractive men in anime.

Speaking of spoilers, I guess I just told you that I found a job - or rather two of them - but I came up with so many good job-hunting comic ideas that I am going to use them, dang it. So now you have that to look forward to!

What do you mean, "problem with authority"? I have authority in spades!

Whew! That's a lot of crap we gave to you guys in just twelve days! And on the last day, I finally managed to enjoy myself.

PS, that's my little brother's bass guitar Deuteronomy I'm playing...a tribute to him, who will be spending Christmas this year in the Philippines, far away from his family. He probably won't see this tomorrow but that doesn't make him any less rockin'.

(Also thanks for being so appreciative everyone...this ended up being a much larger endeavor than I anticipated. And it was a big strain on my severely limited artistic abilities...maybe you could tell.)

Well! Here we are, back in the saddle! No one is as surprised as me! As per usual, I blame school for the longest silence since the Hotline was born onto the internets, but the trauma of Higher Education can only hold me down for so long. My graduation is in two weeks, and once I have broken free from bondage, I will find myself among those young, attractive, educated, and unemployed folks. (Anyone hiring an entry-level accountant? Anyone?)

And so, now it begins - the job search. I decided to take the rest of the bishies along for the ride. ~~Misery loves company you see~~. As I said, there are two weeks before my finals are over so I don't promise any specific update schedule, but I do assure you the Hotline is back! And I know there are a lot of people who are no longer checking in for updates....so if you diehards that will see this could spread the word that we have returned, that would be fabulous. Stay classy, internet!

Truly, something sinister is afoot....

Stepping outside the boundaries of the 4-panel comic? "Surely you jest!" I hear you cry. But it's true! Sometimes I find myself bound by self-imposed rules that aren't really rules at all, and it is refreshing and rejuvenating to shake them off and step away.

Now if only I could do the same with Sephiroth - but I guess I can't just leave him in jail forever.
